THE CASE STUDY
Overview
Barrett Firearms introduced the MRADELR as a new addition to its long-range rifle platform—representing years of engineering, refinement, and innovation. To support this release, Langenheim Creative Group was brought in to help document and communicate the story behind the rifle’s development and performance.
Commissioned by Athlon Outdoors, the project focused on capturing both the technical precision of the firearm and the people responsible for bringing it to life.
The Opportunity
For a product built over an extended development cycle, the challenge was to translate a highly technical process into a compelling and accessible story.
The goal was to:
- Highlight the craftsmanship and engineering behind the rifle
- Capture authentic insight from the design and manufacturing teams
- Showcase real-world performance in a credible and engaging way
- Create content that supports both brand storytelling and product positioning
Our Role
Langenheim Creative Group led the production and storytelling process, including:
- Creative direction and video production
- On-location filming at Barrett’s manufacturing facility in Murfreesboro, Tennessee
- Interview development and narrative structure
- Capturing product testing and performance in real-world environments
Our role was to ensure the final content reflected both the technical excellence of the product and the people behind it.
Our Approach
We approached this project with a focus on authenticity and clarity—allowing the story to be told through the voices of the engineers, designers, and manufacturing team.
Key elements included:
- Capturing behind-the-scenes insight into the development process
- Structuring interviews to communicate complex information clearly
- Filming in both controlled and live environments to balance precision and realism
- Highlighting performance through real-world testing scenarios
This approach ensured the final piece was both informative and engaging, while maintaining the integrity of the subject matter.
The Outcome
The final video delivered a clear and compelling representation of the MRADELR—showcasing its development, performance, and positioning within the long-range rifle market.

- Real-world performance demonstrated at the “King of 2 Miles” competition, where the rifle achieved a 2nd place finish against custom-built long-range rifles
